THE FOUNDATION oRIGIN'S

The fundamental basis of this Foundation is intrinsically connected to my destination, that is, as I use to say, is inside of my personal card (chip) and monitored by the Celestial GPS, which have allowed or even obliged myself to accomplish so many challenges and which have cost me so much unrest, but also, these same challenges allowed me a spectacular learning of life, and that is priceless.

Since my early childhood that I feel strong inner impulses that have led me to act on behalf of the poorest, and every additional suffering moment I have seen my civic and spiritual growth increase, but also my obligations sense have increased and demand a lot of urgency.

The scarcity or even the lack of financial resources often forced me to delay this project. However, the more advanced and the greater my difficulties were, the more I thought about fighting against others suffering. So here I am working to it! Thus, on the 14th of September of the year 2007, I decided to take one more risk, I took another risky step by establishing the Portuguese Foundation of Saint Anthony and All Saints, which reflects in greatly my dreams and concerns of this suffering world.

Having very modest origins and born a bit away from all, I earlier could observed that the world lived selfishly organized. Therefore, I felt that it was necessary to change course, but there was a lack of resources that slow to arrive.

Today is even more obvious and revolting because the technological advances have shown the increase of the unwillingness of the “bossy masters” to resolve the most appalling humanitarian situations, because the international financial system has adequate tools to reduce the world calamity but those who have access to this system aren’t sufficiently concerned.

Since my early youth I watch the poverty human condition in everywhere, but today the world is a real calamity ready to explode, that's why an intervene action is so urgent.

Today, I present myself and challenge you to accomplish your part to make a better world. So do not leave your place empty!

Because just words, affirmations or even criticisms don't mean a thing, I've decided to express my ideas and put them on specific projects in which I see myself committed with great enthusiasm between future lamentation tears and tears of joy and between the happiness that many will be benefit tastefully. These projects and Missions have the purpose to give visibility to available and gentle talents, to persons who want to serve good causes with Love and Care, doing self-sustaining works useful to the Humanity, going beyond than simple charity.

Although charity is laudable and necessary, we have the duty and obligation to go further, thinking and acting in behalf of those who can do little or nothing to change their own living conditions which are often just survival. All the projects led by the Portuguese Foundation are intended to put the Human Being in the center of concerns. So if you feel ready and able, consider yourself an indispensable part of this fraternity and don't delay yourself to come.

In my opinion, happiness can only be obtained through the happiness that we give to others, through loving gestures and through sharing, which so many times we forget to give. If you think like me, don’t stop your happiness. Go and stand to serve, because you will be happy causing others happiness.

Believe that the Divine force that´s watching you will, one day, reward you fairly. Therefore, do not fail your call. Probably, you will be rewarded when you least expect and perhaps through whom anything owes you… apparently.

And remember, God gives us everything without asking anything but, in return, expects from us exemplar persons to our near and distant Brother. Saint Anthony served God in an exemplary manner, with complete detachment, and he prepared the way so that we can imitate him. For this reason, we have to act on behalf of the little ones, the weak and helpless, and we have to act right now because tomorrow can be too late.
